CYC ROCKS THE OTHER CLUB JUST SOUTH OF US

CYC Sailors had a great weekend at CYC - SC.

In brief, fleet winners included:

Pierce Barden in the Lightning Class

Thomas Smith in the Optimist Class

Parks Blair in the Laser Radials.

In addition Daniel Birmingham grabbed 2nd in the Laser Fulls.

ps Breezy in Charleston with gusts to > 20 knots and a mean current all weekend

Also speaks highly of our sailors seamanship. The big wind all summer paid off.

Wind, Wind and more Wind

Been blowing >20 knots for a couple of months.
Been too tired to post.

But did see Ron Medlin and Chip Till took 1st and 2nd respectively at the Charleston Yacht Club Regatta this past weekend in the J24 class.
Also saw Parks Blair topped the laser radial fleet.
Way to go guys.

Will try to get some updates with the two upcoming CYC regattas the next two weekends.
CYC website being updated regularly with the local races.

Registration is now open for our open regatta. Register before july 31st to save some money.
Of note is the availability of snipes for charter. Not many boats - so if someone wants to do the snipe thing let the club office know.
