Ancient Mariners

14 ancient mariners competed this weekend.
Shifty, light , gusty - all conditions - were experienced.
But most importantly was great to experience the revival of this old race.

Congratulations to Bob Cowen for winning the event.
Bob has been a great competitor and volunteer all year.
Also big congrats to Mike Brown - first in the laser fleet - first time lasers
in Ancient race. Beat Mott Blair in a tie breaker. Had to use the 2013-16 RRS to figure it out.

Last Ocean race this weekend.
Awards night 9/20.
So who gets the most important award? BIMBO of the year.

Alls not over for the year however.
Fall series scheduled.
Hope to get the college kids involved if they are not out of town.
